– So why glasses exactly?!
– We were always know for wearing glasses – forever!! Since middle school days, we have had this rocker chic style, so being in Minnesota people would always stare at us, we felt wearing sunglasses kept us in a comfort zone. So we were like “let us give people something to actually stare at” and started designing shades .
– Were you the ones who came to the idea of glasses, or influenced by someone? For instance “Lady Gaga” – have you already tried to get her to appear in your shades?
– Lady Gaga hasn’t worn our glasses. But i would have to say, since we are from Minnesota, we actually didn’t know who lady gaga was until after we started our shade business. We were just influenced by each other as we came up with our ideas.
– Do you plan to diversify your product line or staying true to shades only?
– Actually yes, we started off designing clothes. We got our first sewing machine when we were 13, and were into designing accessories. The collection we are currently working on consist of what “NORMAL PEOPLE WOULD CALL ACCESSORIES” but we are calling it “WEARABLE ART”.
– Dont you feel that studs & chains is a dying trend?
– I would have to say, trends come and go, its fashion. we were working with studs and chains before it even became so trendy. We of ofcourse are going to be using new material and concepts for our up coming collections.
– How long did it take for you guys to emerge into the market: how much time did it take you to get from starting designers to quit well known “personas” as you are today?
– We actually just moved to NYC 10 months ago from Minnesota. We did one of those american dreams moves – “MOM AND DAD we are QUITTING OUR JOBS, SELLING OUR CAR and MOVING TO NYC” after the 1st month of being here our glasses were already worn by many celebs, we had our online store and got features in a few publications.
– Have you had any celebrities refusing to appear in your shades in public?
– All of the Celebrities that wear our glasses have requested to wear them.
– Have anyone told you that you have a physical resemblance to Rihanna? How do you find her music and spark?
– We like her music. People tell us that all of the time. Its funny because Coco && Breezy have always been ROCKER CHIC style. I can remember being 14 years old, with some of my hair shaved, crazy colors, and just expressing the way we felt in our art through fashion. Our hair was the red Rihanna has now but back in 2007. So when people ask us, if our style is inspired by Rhianna, no its inspired by COCO && BREEZY. Dont get us wrong, we respect and like her movement as well.
– How about nightlife? You guy’s club? Where do you make your appearance?
– When we first moved our here, we were going out a bit, but right now, we have just been very focused on working on our new collection, taking it to that next level. We have to keep on being innovative and giving the world something new. Our Next few appearances we have coming up are in Atlanta later this month and bermuda in the fall. We are planning our trip to Europe in October!! we cant wait to go to LONDON!!

What can one say, when someone has passion and vision, they are surely destined for success.
I reside in Bulgaria I have a southern facing garden, but one corner is within almost everlasting shade since connected with overhanging trees in neighbours sabatini gardens. It could be a spot that calls to get something striking. I have pictured red dogwood, although gather that needs good solar. Perhaps there is anything else that has red stems which could cope with mainly shade – or does anyone know how red dogwood actually does throughout shade. Cheers
